Budapest
After breakfast, meet your local English-speaking guide at the lobby of your hotel. Today you explore Budapest in the course of a panoramic city tour, followed by a visit to the Matthias Church and Fishermen's Bastion in the Budapest Castle District.
Lunch on your own at one of the numerous cafes and restaurants.
The afternoon is dedicated to a visit of the Parliament. Afterwards, enjoy some leisure time.

Fishermen's Bastion
Fishermen's Bastion, which originated as a weir system, is located on the Buda side and replaces the medieval fish market of Buda. Fishermen's Bastion was constructed in neo-Romantic style; its sharp pointed towers are made of stone and symbolise the seven tribal leaders of Hungary.

Matthias Church
Matthias Church, probably the most famous church in Budapest, is located right next to the Fishermen’s Bastion in the heart of the Budapest's castle district. A wide range of Hungarian kings have been coronated at the Matthias Church, and today it is home to ecclesiastical treasures and essential burial places.

Parliament
The Parliament, located right on the banks of the Danube, is the landmark of Budapest and the largest building of Hungary. Inside this magnificent building, one can admire remarkable paintings, statues, as well as the Hungarian coronation insignia.

Budapest: Excursion to Gödöllö
After breakfast, meet your licensed English-speaking guide at the lobby of your hotel and start your excursion to Gödöllö Palace.
After a visit to the palace, enjoy a coffeebreak at the palace cafe.
Then, return transfer to Budapest.
The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure.

Gödöllö
The Baroque castle in Gödöllő, one of the most impressive and important examples of Hungarian architecture, was built in 1735.
Originally, it was built for Count Grassalkovich, a central personality of the 18th century aristocracy in Hungary; later, it served as the summer residence of Franz Joseph and his wife Elisabeth, who actually spent more time here than in Vienna.
During a castle tour, a local guide introduces you to the history of this building, where you can admire various, fully renovated royal suites with original furniture and everyday objects of the royal couple, including the wardrobe and study of Franz Joseph, the salons and dressing room of Maria-Theresia and Queen Elisabeth, memorial exhibitions about Elisabeth and the Grassalkovich family, as well as the Castle Chapel. After your visit to the palace, enjoy a stroll through the park, followed by a coffee break.

Bratislava-Vienna
After breakfast, meet your licensed guide and transfer to Vienna with a stop at the stunning Schloss Hof Palace. Visit to the palace and the idyllic park.
Lunch on your own.
Continue your journey to Vienna, followed by a short panoramic city tour.
Afterwards, check-in at your hotel.
Dinner with following concert at the Schönbrunn Palace. Your licensed guide will be with you during the evening. Overnight stay in Vienna.

The Imperial Palace Schloss Hof is only a short hour’s drive from Vienna and you will find a fascinating Baroque adventure world, with stunning buildings, romantic parks and gardens with a great diversity of plants and flowers. Do not miss to walk around in the nature and feel the imperial atmosphere before going back to imperial Vienna.

Schönbrunn Palace Dinner and Concert
At the Orangery Schönbrunn, a place rich in tradition, the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra and the Schönbrunn Chamber Ensemble perform the most beautiful tunes of the classic composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. The orchestra is accompanied by two opera singers, a soprano and a baritone, and two ballet dancers dressed in authentic costumes.
Right before this concert, enjoy a delicious dinner in this impressive location.

Vienna
After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour through the old town of Vienna including a visit to the Imperial appartments at the Imperial Palace. Additionally, you visit the Imperial Burial Vault.
Lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, continue your old town walking tour, based on the the topic of the “k.u.k. purveyors”. These include the famous Café Demel, the renowned Viennese jeweller Köchert, the Hofzuckerbäckerei (confectionery) Gerstner as well as the glass manufacturer Lobmeyer.
Afterwards, visit to the Imperial Furniture Collection.
Dinner at a traditional restaurant. Your licensed guide will be with you during the evening.

Imperial Palace / Imperial Apartments
The Imperial Palace or Hofburg is the former centre of the vast Habsburg empire. Originally, the Imperial Palace was a fortress, which the Habsburgs transformed into a splendid residence and henceforth lived there tilll 1918. Today, visitors have access to these grandiose apartments.

Imperial Burial Vault
Since 1633, the Imperial burial chamber beneath the Capuchin Church and monastery has been the place of entombment for members of the House of Habsburg. Still today, Capuchin friars take care of the Imperial Burial Vault, additionally to their regular pastoral work.

Imperial Furniture Collection
Formerly, the task of the Imperial Furniture Collection was to administer the furniture of the Habsburgs, to maintain and to distribute these pieces to the imperial households. Nowadays, this unique museum of imperial living decors display exhibits originating from five centuries.
