On 27th January 1756 Salzburg's most famous citizen, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on the third floor of "Hagenauer House". Today, the house located at Getreidegasse is a museum displaying historical instruments and memorabilia.

In the afternoon you go for a boat ride to the so-called "Herren-island" at Lake Chiemsee. At the "Herren-island", enjoy a visit to the Royal Palace before continuing your journey to Innsbruck.

Herrenchiemsee Palace is located on the largest island of Lake Chiemsee, the Herrenchiemsee Island. 1878 the castle was built by King Ludwig II as an equivalent to Versailles Palace. Today the magnificent rooms as well as the large park can be visited.

Morning

After breakfast you discover Innsbruck in the course of a walking tour through the old town. You also enjoy a visit to the Imperial Palace.
Lunch on your own at one of the various cafes and restaurants in the old town.

Afternoon

In the afternoon enjoy a cablerailway ride to mount Hafelkar on the so-called “Nordkette” (in summer only). Be assured, the view from the Hafelkar will take your breath away.
Then return back to the valley.

City Walk with Imperial Palace

This city walk takes you through the picturesque alleys of the old town of Innsbruck. Passing by the golden roof you will continue to the Innsbruck Imperial Palace with the Imperial Court Church, the city tower and St. James's Cathedral. Let yourself be enchanted by the Baroque showrooms and the Imperial Apartments.

Nordkette

Within 20 minutes, the Nordketten cable railways transfer passengers from Innsbruck's city center up to high alpine terrain. Even at the first mountain station, which is reachable by the Hungerburg cable railway the city of Innsbruck appears from a completely new angle. The Seegrube on 1905m altitude, reachable by the Seegruben cable railway, promises a breathtaking view of the Stubai and Zillertal Alps. The highlight is the Hafelkar with an altitude of 2256m.

Innsbruck-(Hohenschwangau)-(Oberammergau)-Munich

Morning

After breakfast you head to Munich via Hohenschwangau and Oberammergau. In Hohenschwangau you enjoy a visit to the fairy tale Palace Neuschwanstein. Afterwards you go to Oberammergau, famous for its passion plays.
Lunch at local restaurant in Oberammergau.

Afternoon

After a stroll through the town of Oberammergau onward journey to Munich.

Neuschwanstein Castle, the former residence of the "fairytale-king" Ludwig II., is one of the most visited castles in Europe. Neuschwanstein Castle was built in 1869 as an idealized notion of a knight's castle for King Ludwig II.
