Attractions of this day

Old Pinakothek
The Alte Pinakothek presents more than 700 paintings by famous artists such as Dürer, da Vinci, Rembrandt or Rubens. A highlight forms the so called "Rubenshall" which displays paintings more than six meters high. At the time of completion, the Alte Pinakothek was the largest museum constructed. Yet, during the Second World War, it was heavily damaged and its reconstruction controversially discussed.

Nymphenburg Palace
The journey through time of the courtly Munich starts only about 30 minutes from Munich's Marienplatz. Nymphenburg Palace, which served for a long time as the summer residence of the Wittelsbach family, today impresses with splendid halls and collections.
