Cemetery and Catacombs at Archabbey Saint Peter
The cemetery of St. Peter is with its natural surroundings, one of the oldest and most beautiful cemeteries in the world. Celebrities, artists, scholars and merchants found their final resting place there. Nannerl Mozart (Mozart's sister) or Michael Haydn (composer and younger brother of Joseph Haydn), to name a few. The catacombs that are carved into the Mönchsberg are particularly worth seeing.

Nonnberg Abbey
The Benedictine Abbey Nonnberg today is the world's oldest convent with uninterrupted tradition. The convent got it's popular reputation mainly through Maria Augusta von Trapp in "The Sound of Music".
