The Dorotheum is one of the most important auction houses in the world. The largest auction house in Central Europe was established in 1707 by Emperor Joseph I. About 600 auctions in 40 specialisms are held each year. The Dorotheum regularly sells articles from the 1930s to the 1950s as well as classics of Viennese Modernism.

Unconventional Vienna: The Vienna Central Cemetery and its Funeral Museum

As the name suggests, this tour is anything but conventional. The tour takes you to the Southeast of Vienna - more specifically to the Vienna Central Cemetery. With an area of nearly 2.5 square kilometres and around 330,000 grave sites, it is one of the largest burial grounds in Europe. Many honorary graves and art nouveau buildings transform the Vienna Central Cemetery to a very special place and a unique attraction. Afterwards, your guide takes you to the Vienna Funeral Museum at the Central Cemetery. The Vienna Funeral Museum provides an insight into the funeral and cemetery culture of past centuries. Finally, you will return to the city centre.
